Ubuy helps businesses squeeze a slice of Online Sales
Friday, 12 March 2004

The latest developing E-commerce solution, Ubuy Shopping Community, is helping business in New Zealand achieve its first steps in gaining access to the Online Shopping market.

“Many small to medium sized businesses want to start selling online, but don’t have the time, knowledge, and money to start” comments Dean Hall, Managing Director of DHD Limited who developed the software for Ubuy, “we’ve worked with several familiar New Zealand companies to develop a system that is robust, easy to use, and successful no matter what the size of the business.”

Released last year, the Ubuy Shopping Community project touts itself as a first for New Zealand in terms of its unique approach to providing Online Shopping services, creating the perfect marketplace to foster e-commerce in New Zealand’s predominantly small and medium business environment.

One particular area of success for Ubuy has been achieving successful search engine rankings for businesses, which enable customers to easily find what they are looking for. The high search engine rankings are achieved through the layout and system design, as well as the Ubuy site’s prominence around the Internet.

The Community provides free merchant facilities to businesses that register with the site, taking a small commission on every sale. “We believe this creates a win-win business relationship situation” says Hall, “revenue is only generated by increasing sales for the merchants – so the company is 100% committed to making the perfect selling environment for every merchant.”

“We’re proud to be working with New Zealand companies to broaden the current e-commerce market.”
