Optimation adds wireless security suite

Optimation adds wireless security suite to solutions portfolio
Exclusive New Zealand distribution for AirTight Networks Inc.

Optimation has signed as the exclusive New Zealand distributor for AirTight Networks Inc. (www.airtightnetworks.net), a leading provider of enterprise network security solutions for wireless threats.

“As part of our business designing and implementing security solutions for customers, we are continually researching emergent technologies to assess their fit for the New Zealand market,” says Optimation managing director Neil Butler.

“AirTight has some unique patented technologies and their solutions are at the forefront of wireless intrusion detection and prevention. We’ve tested the products extensively, and found them to be easily managed, cost-effective and practical for the typical New Zealand corporate or government enterprise.”

Butler says the products are proving of interest both to enterprises who want to actively support wireless connectivity in their businesses, and to those that don’t.

“Wireless is becoming ubiquitous and whether you want it or not, it is probably encroaching on your corporate airspace right now. AirTight allows you to securely manage the risks around wireless connectivity, and to establish air cover if you want to prevent wireless connectivity within your corporate environment.”
