Seasonal Climate Outlook: April - June 2007
An Average
Autumn But Cooler April
Cooler conditions are likely
during April over much of New Zealand, but conditions for
autumn as a whole are likely to be about average, according
to the latest predictions from the NIWA National Climate
Centre.
The Centre says that warm El Niño conditions have
ended in the tropical Pacific, and the situation has become
more favourable for the development of a La Niña over the
next 3 – 6 months.
