Two of the medal winners at this year’s Science Honours Dinner awards ceremony on Wednesday night received cash awards in addition to their medals.

President Garth Carnaby said the prizes were additional recognition of the contribution both men had made to New Zealand science and technology.

“Both winners are leaders in their fields and worthy recipients of these awards.”
