Situation: A low pressure system off the East Coast is moving further offshore, but it is bringing a generally southerly flow over much of the North Island and showers into eastern districts. It should remain dry for the start of Fieldays.
Wind: South to southwest winds 5-10 km/h at first, picking up to 10-15 km/h by afternoon and then diminishing again overnight to less than 5km/h.
Temperatures: Morning low of 10 °C and afternoon maximum of 17 °C. Dropping overnight to 8 °C on Thursday morning.
Weather: A dry, fine start for Fieldays but with some low cloud clearing during the morning.
Visibility: 20 km at first, increasing to 25 km by afternoon then decreasing again to 10 km overnight.
