CRV Ambreed moves into Canterbury research and innovation hub

A new satellite office at the AgResearch Lincoln Campus will create greater visibility in the South Island and better linkages with likeminded partners in the dairy sector for CRV Ambreed.

Phil Beatson, research and development manager at CRV Ambreed says it’s important that the herd improvement company is well-connected with farmers, the industry, the market, breeders, research partners and universities. Having a stronger presence in Canterbury will enhance relationships with these groups.

“CRV Ambreed is always looking for new research opportunities as part of the ongoing development of our breeding programme,” Beatson explains.

“Our presence at Lincoln has already started conversations with Lincoln University, DairyNZ, AgResearch and other commercial companies about how we can work together.”

Collaboration has always been a foundation of CRV Ambreed’s research and development programme, and greater capacity and capability in the South Island will make CRV Ambreed more accessible to its research partners.

In the end, Beatson says a stronger presence in Canterbury will further enhance CRV Ambreed’s genetics offering and provide dairy farmers the best solutions to suit their individual farming operations, positioning them at the fore of global dairy supply.
