tide
The MetService has issued a Severe Weather Watch for Thursday evening 7 July, which will coincide with the king tide around 9pm of the Eastern Coromandel.
There is a possibility of localised heavy rain (15-25mm per hour) overnight affecting the Coromandel Peninsula. The low pressure system bringing the rain is expected to pass off the Coromandel early Friday morning.
There is a flood risk to roads and properties in low-lying coastal areas.
