WILLIAM HILL - THE 100 MILLION POUNDS STERLING NATIONAL GAMBLE

LONDON, March 31 RNewswire-AsiaNet/ -- The Grand National is the most popular betting race in the world -- and bookmakers William Hill predict that up to 100 million pounds sterling (pounds) will be gambled on Grand National Day, Saturday, April 8th.

For the first time live commentary of the big race will be broadcast on the internet via William Hill's site at http://www.willhill.com , enabling foreign-based customers of the world's leading bookmakers to place a deduction-free wager on the race and then listen to it as it is run.

"The race is now readily accessible to many racing fans who might otherwise have been unable either to bet on or listen to it", said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. "And to celebrate the occasion we are offering new customers a fifty per-cent cashback when they place a bet of up to 100 pounds -- so that if, for example, they bet 60 pounds, we will reimburse them 30 pounds."

William Hill currently make last year's Grand National winner Bobbyjo, 8/1 joint favorite to win this year's race along with Star Traveller. Hills also offer 14/1 Betty's Boy, Young Kenny; 16/1 Djeddah, Micko's Dream, 20/1 Cavalero, Edmond, The Last Fling, 25/1 Dark Stranger, Earth Mover, Lucky Town, Red Marauder; 33/1 Escartefigue, Kendal Cavalier, Niki Dee, Papillon, Sparky Gayle, Torduff Express; 40/1 Addignton Boy, Buck Rogers, Feels Like Gold, Listen Timmy, Luzcadou, Mely Moss, Merry People, Royal Predicament, Suny Bay; 50/1 Ashwell Boy, Blowing Wind, Brave Highlander, Choisty, Esprit De Cotte, Even Flow, Flaked, Oats, Frazer Island, Stormy Passage, Village King; 66/1 Art Prince, Cariboo Gold, Celtic Giant, Classy Lad, Druids Brook, Forestall, Full Of Oats, Mister Creek, Mountain Path, Profluent, Ryhane, Senor El Bettrutti, The Gopher, Trinitro; 100/1 Another Excuse, Camelot Knight, River Unshion, Tennessee Twist; 150/1 Casterbridge, Overflowing River, 200/1 Back Bar.
