Silver Ferns to Play Malawi Queens

26-04-13: New World Netball Series – Silver Ferns to Play Malawi Queens

The Silver Ferns will take on the Malawi Queens in a three test New World Netball Series in October.

Wellington’s TSB Bank Arena (24 October), Napier’s Pettigrew Arena (27 October) and Claudelands Arena in Hamilton (31 October) will play host to the Silver Ferns and Malawi who are currently ranked 5th in the world.

Silver Ferns coach Waimarama Taumaunu is relishing the opportunity to play against the Malawi style of game who proved to be crowd favourites at the FAST5 Netball World Series last November.

“The Malawi Queens have an unpredictable and dynamic style which we experienced at FAST5 last year and we are excited to be playing them in a Test Series” Taumaunu said.

All test matches will be shown LIVE on SKY Sport and broadcast via Radio Sport.
