Joseph Parker v Francois Botha

Starts at 6.00pm
Thu 13 June 2013
The Trusts Arena Auckland

Fresh from his victory over Brice Ritani-Coe in LA, New Zealand boxing sensation Joseph Parker is preparing to go into battle against South African Francois “The White Buffalo” Botha.

They will square off in a scheduled 8 x 3 minute round boxing fight in the Hydr8 ZERO Explosion at The Trusts Arena, Auckland on June 13.

Touted by experts as the most talented heavyweight fighter to come out of New Zealand since David Tua, 21-year-old Parker has won all of his first five fights, four by early TKO’s, but faces a massive challenge ahead of him going eight rounds against powerful boxing veteran Francois Botha.

Botha, who came within seconds of knocking out Sonny Bill Williams in their bout in February, has gone toe-to-toe with some of the biggest names in boxing including Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield and Wladimir Klitschko.

The White Buffalo loves to talk the talk and taunt his opponents and in his recent fight against Sonny Bill Williams he proved he can walk the walk with powerful blows in the ring.

Nothing beats the high of being ringside to smell, hear, feel and witness the action live for yourself!

Plus, New Zealand’s own ‘Diamond’ Daniella Smith will take on Australia’s Sarah ‘Missy’ Howett for two world title belts.

Also, making his pro debut is the talented son of former All Black superstar Inga The Winger – Jordan Tuigamala.

Keeping it in the family, Francois Botha’s son Marcel, also steps in the ring for his professional debut, fighting Jeremy Sebastian, brother of Australian singer Guy Sebastian.
