(SBU) Poloff delivered reftel demarche to Spanish
Subdirector General for Sub-Saharan Africa Antonio
Sanchez-Benedito Gaspar on February 16. Sanchez-Benedito
told Poloff that Spain is following the EU position on
Somalia and approved of the 15 million euro reserve created
at the January GAERC to support the AU. However, he said
Spain is not likely to contribute directly at this time.
