(SBU) Polcouns made ref A points to Thamer Adwan, director of
the Foreign Minister's private office, on May 20. Adwan
commented that Jordan would submit its UNSCR 1747
implementation status report to the UN on time, and supported
"diligent" implementation of the resolution. In a follow-up
meeting, poloff delivered ref A points to Ayman al-Aamiry,
director of the Foreign Ministry's International
Organizations Department. Aamiry undertook to pass the
proposal directly to Foreign Minister Khatib, and to share
our concerns with the Ministries of Industry and Trade,
Jordan's Central Bank, and with Jordanian Customs.
