Embassy delivered reftel demarche requesting Bangladesh's
support for the election of Pierre-Richard Prosper to a seat
on the U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Recial
Discrimination. Demarche points were delivered to Shahidul
Islam, Director General, Americas and Pacific Wing, Ministry
of Foreign Affairs on December 31. Post will report any
substantive response septel.
