Embassy Vientiane nominates Harvey Somers, Chief, Pol/Econ
Section, to attend March 27-28 training in Bangkok. Post
appreciated DOL assistance with trip expenses. Airfare would
be $249. Mr. Somers covers human rights issues among his
other responsibilities and is the primary drafting officer
for the annual human rights report. He is also responsible
for the broad range of political and military issues. Mr.
Somers is scheduled to depart Post in July 2009.
