SUBJECT: CROATIA'S ATTENDANCE AT UNGA

(SBU) Per reftel instructions, the MFA has provided the
following information regarding attendance at UNGA. Their
response was incomplete and post will send updates when they
become available.

A. The Head of State is not planning on attending UNGA.

B. The Head of Government plans to attend UNGA.

-- Prime Minister Ivo Sanader.
-- Arrival and departure dates to and from New York and other
U.S. locations are not confirmed yet. This information will
be sent separately per reftel instructions. Sanader will be
present for the General Debate.
-- It is not yet confirmed if Prime Minister Sanader's wife
will travel to New York.
-- No interpretation will be necessary during bilateral or
multilateral meetings.

C. The Foreign Minister plans to attend UNGA.

-- Foreign Minister Gordan Jandrokovic.
-- Arrival and departure dates to and from New York and other
U.S. locations are not confirmed yet. This information will
be sent separately per reftel instructions. Jandrokovic will
be present for the General Debate.
-- It is not yet confirmed if Foreign Minister Jandrokovic's
wife will travel to New York.
-- No interpretation will be necessary during bilateral or
multilateral meetings.

D. It is not yet confirmed if other VIPs will attend UNGA.

E. It is not yet confirmed if the Foreign Ministry official
responsible for IO affairs will attend UNGA.
