1) Indonesian forces invoved in spy ploy 23/02/00 (The Age) Operatives from Indonesia's special forces, Kopassus, made extraordinary efforts to implicate Australia in illegal spy flights in East Timor last year, according to Australian intelligence sources.

2) UN not specific on when E Timor will be independent 23/02/00 (AAP) The United Nations wanted East Timorese in position to run their newly-independent state before the UN transitional authority withdrew, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan said today.
