Red Cross Director Was Threatened By Terrorists

The Director of Red Cross, John Scott was threatened and warned not to give evidence against the terrorists.

Today's Fiji Times quotes a Dr. Qalo Sukabula as saying: "When I went in, he asked if I had noticed the slimy character who had just left the office. I said `no'. Scott then said the man had been trying to convince him not to testify against them during the trial".

Scott and his partner were brutally murdered on Sunday morning.

It is believed that the murder was linked to the terrorist uprising and the pending trial of the terrorists for treason.

The sister of Scott's partner Gregory Scrivner told the media that her brother had informed her that Scott was frightened for his life, and had minimised telephone conversations. Instead he relied on emails for communication with relatives. The hint given is that elements of Fiji Police were monitoring Scott's calls.

A section of the Police Force, led by those associated with the terrorists, have been trying to frustrate the investigation of the terrorists. Police Commissioner Isikia Savua has also been implicated with involvement with terrorists.

Scrivner's sister is quoted today as saying: "If they had an enemy there, it was only the police who they were terrified of".
