South Pacific Civil Society Consultation on the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting

On Thursday 13th June to Friday 14th June, a South Pacific Civil Society Consultation on the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting (CFMM) will be held at the Fiji Nurses Association Building Conference Room, 26 McGregor Road, Suva, Fiji Islands. The Commonwealth Foundation and the Pacific Concerns Resource Centre (PCRC) is organising the event.
Participants to the event include representatives of civil society, government, development agencies, unions, parliamentarians and the media.

Commonwealth civil society organisations have been invited to present to the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting (CFMM) in London from 24-26 September their views and recommendations on the special theme of the 2002 CFMM - Delivering the Monterrey Consensus. The overall theme of the CFMM is Stability, Growth and Poverty Reduction.
This South Pacific Consultation is part of a series of national/sub-regional consultations convened by the Commonwealth Foundation in collaboration with host organisations in Africa, the Caribbean, South America and the South Pacific. Each consultation is expected to identify key issues and concerns related to the special theme of the 2002 CFMM and to recommend strategies and actions to be taken by the Commonwealth Finance Ministers.
