Moscow Calls for Ease in Israel-Palestinian Crisis

Moscow Calls for Wase in Israel-Palestinian Hostilities

On the Exacerbation of Tensions Around the Palestinian Territories

An abrupt burst of tension is being observed around the Palestinian territories. After the terrorist act committed by a Palestinian suicide bomber in Haifa, Israel continues to carry out a massive operation in the Gaza Strip with the employment of dozens of tanks and helicopter gunships, resulting in considerable loss of life among the Palestinian population and more than a hundred wounded people.

Thus, the Palestinian-Israeli confrontation may flare up with renewed force. Armed attacks and retaliation lead to no results, except one - more and more of those killed, the increasing pain in the hearts of their relatives and loved ones, the accumulating feelings of despair and revenge.

There is no doubt that cruel violent methods cannot bring about a long-term positive outcome. Moscow calls upon the parties to the conflict not to carry out any actions endangering innocent civilians and to undertake efforts directed entirely to the speediest resumption of political dialogue.
