A meeting of the Security Cabinet took place this evening following the recent string of bombings, including the terror attack which took place in Jerusalem, killing 20 citizens and injuring 114. The Cabinet thoroughly discussed all the relevant the issues, and made several decisions.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon stated that the goals of the Government were achieving security for the citizens of the State of Israel and promoting the political process. The actions of the security services against terrorist organizations are meant to allow for the furthering of the process. If the Palestinian Government does not take all the necessary steps in the war against terror substantial and meaningful steps it will not be possible to move on to the next stage of political discussions.
