Melbourne Joins The World In The Global Peace March

The Victorian Peace Network announces that the Melbourne will march along with all Australian capital cities and many regional towns and countries around the world in a Global Peace March. The Melbourne Peace Rally begins at the State library at 1pm on Saturday 20Th March. Marchers will proceed to the Treasury Gardens where music and speakers will call for peace.

Terry Hicks , father of David Hicks will join Church and union speakers in calling for peace and an end to pre-emptive wars. The Victorian Peace Network believes that the people of Iraq have the right to determine their own future, free of outside influence. It is time to end the occupation which is the cause not the solution to Iraq’s present catastrophe.
