Annan Condemns Deadly Terrorist Car Bomb In Indonesia
Voicing horror at the car bomb explosion today near the Australian Embassy in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta which reportedly killed at least eight people and injured more than 100 hundred others, United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan again repudiated all terrorist actions.
"The Secretary-General is horrified," a statement from spokesman Fred Eckhard said. "He extends his heartfelt condolences to the Government of Indonesia and the families of the victims of this apparent terrorist act."
The statement reiterated the Secretary-General's condemnation of all terrorist acts.
