Conscientious Objection Encouraged

Raelian Movement 28 January 2005

RAEL encourages ALL US soldiers to become Conscientious Objectors Objector Status is a guaranteed human right

Following the latest in the growing number of reports of US soldiers becoming conscientious objectors, (Sgt. Kevin Benderman being considered AWOL after refusing to return to Iraq and applying for conscientious objector status*) Rael, originator of the Raelian Movement (www.rael.org) encourages all US soldiers to do the same.

Las Vegas - US Raelian Movement president Ricky Roehr commented: "If more soldiers everywhere would do the same, war would be a thing of the past and the politicians know this. It's why there are such stiff penalties for having a conscience. All wars are started by politicians who manipulate information thus control populations through fear. This is how Hitler was able to do what he did. Bush has lead unknowing soldiers, fathers, mothers, sons etc. into killing others in the name of something great. What is so great? Democracy? No, because the US is only 5% of the population forcing its way onto a much greater % of the world. Maybe the reason is Human rights? Apparently not since the US is punishing those who wish to be conscientious objectors!

The only model for conflict should be Gandhi. He beat the world's most powerful military without raising even one finger - through complete non-violence. Unless there are conscientious objectors this war will never end because it now involves a record number of people and resources. Without more conscientious objectors there will only be more violence. The proof of this is there are now 1000 times more Muslims ready to suicide bomb than before Bush, a professed Christian who seemed to find something, somewhere in the Bible saying it was OK to kill innocent people.

The US could pull out and gain the respect of the world once again instead of committing to this immoral action which was built on lies. The proof of this is everywhere. Bush was quoted as saying "God told me to strike at Saddam", the world has finally given up on finding the WMDs which were never there, Bush proclaimed "mission accomplished" 1.5 years ago and the war is uglier than ever with well over 1,000 US killed. The filming of US coffins is banned...and more.

Even if one gives the benefit of the doubt to the Bush administration we can only deduce that it is completely incompetent. So how did he get re-elected? Precisely because he knows when people live in fear they will do anything. Now there is a US right-wing population who live in fear, not able to understand that this is why 9-11 happened in the first place, turning to Bush and a god to defend them from the people who supposedly hate all Christians. The fact is that if not for the belief in a god, 99% of the world's wars would never have been able to be "justified" in the minds of the poor soldiers who are - for all practical purposes - tricked into killing and dying for an elite small group of politicians who claim "god is on our side" while ignoring "thou shalt not kill", "love thy enemy" and "turn the other cheek".

There is no god to kill for. There is no god to die for. And there is no god that caused the tsunami which killed almost 200,000 innocent people. There are, however, The Elohim, who came from a distant planet thousands of years ago who created all life on earth. All one has to do in order to really understand the true meaning of the Bible, the Koran, the Cabbala etc. is to look just a little deeper and one can see how simple the truth is. No god = no violence"
