PNG health minister wants police tested for HIV

The Papua New Guinean health minister, Sir Peter Barter, is calling for the country’s police staff to be tested for HIV.

The health minister also says police staff must become physically and mentally fit, adding that the habits of betel nut chewing, alcohol abuse and smoking are bad for the image of police.
