More Delays In Anna Nicole’s Funeral Arrangements As Momma Objects

LawFuel.com – Law News, Law Jobs - Anna Nicole Smith is unlikely to be buried before Tuesday - and maybe even later, if Anna Nicole's mother sustains an appeal - according to court-appointed guardian Richard Milstein.

Florida Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin ruled that Anna Nicole’s daughter Dannielynn would inherit her mother’s remains, which Broward County Medical Examiner Dr Joshua Pepper says are now decomposing at a rapid rate. That decision effectively places the body in the hands of Milstein and funeral arrangements mean a further delay before she can be buried.

One of the major obstacles to organising the interment has been Anna Nicole’s mother Virgie Arthur, referred to by Judge Seidlin in the court hearing as “Momma.” Although she appeared at first to agree with the Court ruling that Anna Nicole should be buried in the Bahamas next to her son Daniel, Virgie Arthur changed her mind and filed amotion calling for an order to block the release of the body to Milstein. Anna Nicole’s mother wants her daughter buried in Texas.

It is likely that Virgie Arthur may appeal in West Palm Beach if Judge Seidlin refuses to grant the order she seeks and even further funeral delays could occur.
