President Chen Sent E-Cards On Taiwan Father's Day

The Office of the President's Department of Public Affairs noted that August 8 is Father's Day in the Republic of China (Taiwan).

President Chen Shui-bian and First Lady Wu Shu-chen, as well as Vice President Annette Lu issued electronic cards wishing the nation's fathers a Happy Father's Day!

The Department of Public Affairs said that the Father's Day card issued by President Chen and the First Lady features lively background music and highlights the different roles played by a "cool dad" who aims to look out for his family.

In addition, the contributions made by fathers to the household and to children are no less than those of mothers. We should express the highest degree of appreciation to fathers for their efforts.

Meanwhile, the electronic card issued by Vice President Lu also features delightful background music and focuses on the selfless love and contributions made by fathers to their families. The love provided to us by fathers will also make us feel we are special.

The Department of Public Affairs furthermore said that the public can go to the website of the Office of the President at http: http://www.president.gov.tw/ to browse the cards issued by the president and the vice president.
