QUESTION: Your Excellency, will Saudi Arabia attend the international conference on the Middle East?

FOREIGN MINISTER SAUD: Well, we have today a meeting in which the Arab Committee for the Arab Peace Plan and the Quartet with the Secretary of State are going to meet and this will be the main subject of that. And if there is anything, I’ll have something to say after we have the meeting.

QUESTION: Madame Secretary, Saudi Arabia and the U.S. have been long, very strong allies. How do you value the relationship between Riyhadh and --

SECRETARY RICE: It’s an excellent relationship with Riyadh. We are strategic partners of long standing and we have many interests in common, and we’ve been discussing some of those today. So, thank you very much.
