Trip To Europe 2008: President Bush Visits No. 10

President Bush comes to Number 10

The Prime Minister has welcomed US President George Bush and wife Laura to 10 Downing Street.

Mr and Mrs Bush arrived in the UK this afternoon and travelled to Windsor Castle for a short meeting with the Queen. They have been received at Number 10 for an informal dinner tonight before formal talks between the President and the PM tomorrow.

The Prime Minister and the President will hold a press conference from 10:30 BST on Monday.

Mr Bush is on a tour of Europe prior to the end of his second and final term later this year. The two leaders last held in depth talks on Mr Brown's official visit to the US in April.
