Air Force Boeing 757 To Leave For Samoa

A Royal New Zealand Air Force Boeing 757 is scheduled to leave Whenuapai Air Force Base at 8.15am this morning, Friday 2 October, for Samoa.

The aircraft will be carrying medical evacuation and search and rescue teams along with general stores.

At 10.00am a Royal New Zealand Air Force C-130 Hercules will depart Air Force Base Whenuapai for Samoa.

The aircraft will have on board a LOV (light operational vehicle) and a desalination plant to ensure access to fresh water supplies.
