LaRouche webcast: The Great Change of 2009

American statesman and physical economist Lyndon LaRouche on 11th November addressed an international webcast audience, on the landmark Russia-China economic cooperation agreement, and its potential to rescue the collapsing world economy, but only if the United States, India and then other countries join them, in a reassertion of national sovereignty against British globalisation.

The Russia-China agreement puts Australia at a crossroads: do we persist in inflicting British globalisation on ourselves, in the form of more of the free trade/deregulation/privatisation policies under which our once-productive industrial economy has decayed into a quarry/services economy, or by adopting a carbon cap-and-trade ETS to finish off what’s left, and then seek to impose that experience on the rest of the world, as Kevin Rudd’s diplomacy seeks to?

Or, do we orient our resources and skills to national infrastructure development, to revive and expand our productive capacity as a nation, in the same way the Russia-China agreement seeks to, but which we can use to assist in the economic development of our region, and the world?

LaRouche, the world’s leading economist, whose expertise contributed to the Russia-China breakthrough, insists that unless the U.S., Australia and other nations adopt the latter outlook, the present economic crisis, which is pushing the U.S. toward a default on its sovereign debt and a total collapse of the U.S. dollar, will plunge the entire world into a new Dark Age.
