Statement Of Thanks From The Family Of Trooper Jason Brown
The following statement is being released at the request of the family of Trooper Jason Brown, who tragically lost his life in action in Afghanistan.
"We would like to thank our family, friends, the Australian Defence Force and the local community for the wonderful and overwhelming support, care and compassion we have received during this most difficult time following the death of our dear son and brother, Trooper Jason Thomas Brown.
"He was a career soldier who strived to be the best he could be. The army was his life and his second family. He died serving the country he loved so well and his advice to his military mates would be to stay focused and stay strong."
The family of Trooper Brown continues to request their privacy and will not be undertaking any media interviews. They ask that the media respect this request and their privacy.
