The Way Forward On Doha Is “To Move In Small Steps” — Lamy

Director-General Pascal Lamy, in his report to the General Council on 14 February 2012, said that “the current political environment dictates that the most realistic and practical way forward is to move in small steps, gradually moving forward the parts of the Doha Round which are mature, and re-thinking those where greater differences remain”. He added that “in practical terms, I have encouraged all Chairs to informally consult at this stage to determine what each of their groups can do, step by step, in an informal manner”.
