The Current Grain Harvest is 90% Composed of the Food Grain

On the farm "Prydniprovske" in Novooleksandrivka village of Novovorontsovka district was held a seminar-council on summarizing the harvest of early grain crops in 2013, organizing the collection of the late crops and preparing for sowing of winter crops for harvest in 2014.

When got to know the modern technology of cultivation of grain in Kherson region, the President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Petrychenko underlined the high quality of grains grown in Kherson region: "In spite of the abnormal weather this year's grain harvest in Kherson region is qualitative, because it is 90% composed of food grain," - he said and added that these figures are evidence of the use of modern scientific approaches to cultivation. Vasyl Petrychenko also noted the critical importance of the expansion of the area under irrigation. After all, this year, some farmers on irrigated land harvested up to 70 kg/ha. According to him, this issue will be raised on the state level.

Vasyl Petrychenko: Science Is Ready to Help Kherson Farmers

Under the conditions of the desert it is necessary to use a variety of innovative approaches. First of all – work out a strategy for the development of agriculture in conditions such as steppe.
This was stated by the President of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine Vasyl Petrychenko while talking to reporters on the field seminar-council on summarizing the harvest of early grain crops in 2013, which was held in Novooleksandrivka village of Novovorontsovka district.
According to him, an agricultural science of our country is now working on it, particularly in Kherson region its representative is the Institute of Agrarian Sciences of irrigated agriculture and Askania Agricultural Experiment Station.

Kherson Director Got the Grant of President of Ukraine

Kherson Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre named after Mykola Kulish is famous for its achievements, capable leaders, and unique performances not only in Ukraine but also far beyond its borders.
And now we have yet another well-known name in the annals of Kherson theater - Vladyslava Bilozorenko - director, who received a grant of the President of Ukraine in the amount of 92 000 UAH for staging of the play "The Wedding of Candle" based on the play of Ivan Kocherha in the Regional Academic Music and Drama theatre.

Rice Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine is 50 Years Old

In August 7, 2013 was celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Institute of rice of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, which carries out scientific and economic activities in the territory of Antonivka village council of Skadovsk district.
To this date, and on the occasion of the 50th anniversary since the beginning of rice growing in Ukraine, on 6-8 August 2013 anniversaries timed holding of the International scientific-practical conference on "Prospects for the development of plant industry in the current economic climate."
The 50th anniversary of the founding of the Institute brought together representatives of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, the regional state administration, district leaders, research and educational institutions of Ukraine, the delegates from the Russian Federation etc.
