Anti-Coup Alliance: No Invitation to Dialogue Received

Anti-Coup Alliance Statement Affirms No Invitation to Dialogue Received

Statement by Egypt’s coalition of groups, parties and movements defending constitutional legitimacy announces huge rallies for Monday and The Anti-Coup, Pro-Legitimacy National Alliance stresses that it stands firm in its demands for full return to constitutional legitimacy by reinstating the legitimate president with full powers, the Constitution ratified by the people and the elected Parliament, ending the bloody military coup, and invalidating all its consequent effects.

Monday, August 12 2013

The Alliance welcomes and appreciates all sincere efforts and national patriotic proposals aiming to take Egypt out of the current crisis, based on the rules of constitutional legitimacy, stressing that the key to the solution is restoring President Morsi to his office and duties.

The Alliance further affirms that it has not received any invitation from any party to discuss any issues or proposals. The Alliance reminds that parties which mounted or blessed the bloody military coup – and hence caused the horrific Republican Guard Officers’ Club and dawn prayer massacres as well as other killing of peaceful protesters in all public squares across Egypt – those parties are unwelcome, because they are not unbiased mediators but partners in the putschists’ crime.

The Alliance also affirms that victory march to achieve the goals of the blessed Revolution is firmly on track and will not be derailed by the bloody coup commanders and collaborators’ attempts to wage wars or execute new massacres against unarmed civilians protesting the coup d’état.

Furthermore, the Alliance assures that its strength lies in its peacefulness and that the great Egyptian people, who turned out in millions and massed in all public parks, streets and squares of Egypt to protest the brutal coup in a most civilized and peaceful manner, will not allow the coup forces to attack peaceful demonstrators in Rabaa Al-Adaweya, Nahda Square or any other liberty square in Egypt. The Egyptian people will not stand idly as more barbaric acts of bloody violence are committed. Indeed, the people’s resounding response will be unprecedented in Egypt’s history.

The prompt response of the Egyptian people at dawn on Sunday in Rabaa Al-Adaweya to challenge the enemies of Egypt and humanity is a great message to all parties that deserves our utmost respect.

Moreover, the Alliance assures that the coming days will witness the biggest events in all parts of Egypt, until the goals of the Revolution are completed, God willing.

The Alliance calls the Egyptian people in all the provinces of Egypt to mass rallies and peaceful events on Monday (August 12) throughout the nation, and to a huge rally in the heart of Cairo, to be launched from Fateh Mosque in Ramses, after noon prayers.

The Alliance also calls the Egyptian people to "Together against the coup and Zionists" million-man march Tuesday (August 13).

We urge our sons and brothers in the great Egyptian army and the Ministry of Interior not to attack, blockade or spill the blood of their peaceful, unarmed brothers. We ask them not to respond to any orders to do so – "No obedience to a human is due if it entails disobedience to the Creator" (a saying of the Prophet of Islam, peace be on him). Their rifles and bullets must only target enemies of Egypt.

“Whoever kills a human being, except as punishment for murder or for causing turmoil in the land, so it shall be as if he had killed all mankind” [Quran 5:32]

God save Egypt, its people and its army from the wicked deeds of some of its leaders.
