NZ’s First ‘Green’ Distribution Label For Organic Alcohol

September 24th, 2013

NZ’s First ‘Green’ Distribution Label Launched For Organic Beers, Wines and Spirits

Green Drop, New Zealand’s first beer, wine and spirits distributor to focus solely on certified organic liquors was launched this week in Auckland.

The company is representing 10 labels from family owned and operated vineyards, breweries and distilleries that all have one thing in common – a commitment to organics and producing the highest quality beer, wine and spirits.

Green Drop was set up by the owner of organic vineyard Turanga Creek, Wayne Allen, who saw a niche in the market for a distribution label that is dedicated to representing the burgeoning number of top quality organic alcohol brands coming out of New Zealand, along with organic brands from around the world.

Spokesperson for Green Drop, ‘Green Manager’ Loic Parola, said Green Drop would meet increasing demands for organic, sustainable labels and having one main distributor made it easier to marry these labels with their target market.

“These are exciting times for organic liquor brands, with sales of organic beer, wines and spirits continuing to grow in New Zealand” Mr Parola said. “People are starting to realise that organic means less chemicals and more flavours. The demand is now at the point where a ‘one-stop-shop’ supplier for premium organic liquor labels is needed, and that’s where Green Drop comes in.”

“Our range of organic wines includes products from the best wine regions of New Zealand, including Marlborough, Gisborne, Central Otago and Auckland.”

The Green Drop wine portfolio is also supported by a unique selection of kiwi craft beers from mike’s Organic Brewery, along with a range of organic spirits, liqueurs and bitters.

The distributor has also secured exclusive importing rights to the Los Angeles based Green Bar Collective range. Green Bar Collective represents the world’s largest portfolio of organic, handcrafted spirits, including BAR KEEP organic bitters, CRUSOE organic rums, FRUITLAB organic liqueurs, IXÁ organic tequila, SLOW HAND organic whiskey, TRU organic gin and TRU organic vodkas.
