The New Global Threat: Islamic Fundamentalism & Terrorism

The New Global Threat: Islamic Fundamentalism & Terrorism

Roots & Solutions

Wednesday, 25 February 2015, 4pm - 6pm
IPU Room, Westminster Hall, House of Commons

In today's interconnected world, the threat of Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism are no longer confined in the Middle East but have reached our democratic societies in the West.

On Wednesday February 25, Prof. Alejo Vidal Quadras, former Vice President of the European Parliament (1999-2014) and President of the International Committee In Search of Justice (ISJ) will attend a conference in the House of Commons organised jointly by the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom and the ISJ to present a comprehensive report on Iran's decade-long efforts to export Islamic fundamentalism and terrorism.

Prof. Alejo Vidal Quadras will also discuss the regime's deceptive tactics during the nuclear talks with the International Community, and in particular the West, in order to advance its clandestine nuclear programme. Other speakers at this conference to discuss the roots and solutions to this new global threat are the Rt Hon. David Jones MP, Sir David Amess MP, Sir Alan Meale MP, Dr. Matthew Offord MP, and Baroness Turner of Camden.

Dr. Alejo Vidal Quadras will be available for interviews on the discussed subject before and after the conference, which is open to media by RSVP (please see attached invitation) .
