“In hunger strike since 4 days in Police custody, appeal to release unconditionally”

April 19, 2015, Nepalgunj, Nepal- To protest against the suppression and discriminatory behaviors of Nepal police and Nepal Government, supporters of Dr. CK Raut , Md. Irfan Ahmed Shekh, Jabir Haluwai, Salman Rai, Md. Murad Khan have been in hunger strike since the last four days and their health is in critical condition.

Md. Murad Khan has been gone through physical and mental torture by the police. In addition to that they have not been allowed to meet their any relatives either. Even the relatives who came to visit them were threatened by the police and its administration.

We, the Alliance for Independent Madhesh, want to draw the attention of the international Medias, intellectuals, political organizations and human right activists to request the Nepalese Government to stop these kinds of unconstitutional activities to protect our constitutional rights, such as right to speech, right to organize events peacefully, right to commute and other peaceful movement activities.
