Statement attributable to the Spokesman for the Secretary-General on Manchester attack

The Secretary-General strongly condemns the horrific terrorist attack in Manchester on Monday, 22 May.

He expresses his deep sympathy and solidarity to the people and Government of the United Kingdom and hopes that those responsible for this unjustifiable violence will be swiftly brought to justice.

The Secretary-General conveys his heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those killed, and wishes the injured a full and speedy recovery.
