UN publishes findings on six countries

UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights publishes findings on Argentina, Cape Verde, Germany, Mali, South Africa and Turkmenistan

GENEVA (October 17, 2018) – The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights has published its findings on the rights records of countries it examined during its latest session: Argentina, Cape Verde, Germany, Mali, South Africa and Turkmenistan.

The findings, officially termed concluding observations, contain positive aspects of the respective State’s implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and also main matters of concern and recommendations.

The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights will next meet from February 18 to March 8, 2019 to review the following countries: Bulgaria, Cameroon, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Mauritius and Slovakia.
