UK Donates Money To Help Samoa.

The British Government is providing £50,000 to help with the initial disaster relief requirements in Samoa in the wake of Cyclone Evan. A similar sum is also being provided to Fiji.

The Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the Pacific, Hugo Swire made the announcement saying “I am saddened to hear of the devastation in Samoa caused by Cyclone Evan. The terrible impact of the cyclone has clearly been felt on the island with a number of tragic deaths and over 5000 people housed in emergency accommodation. “..More
