Jokowi advised to sit together with Papuan Separatist Group

Director General of the Ministry of Interior for Regional Autonomy, Djohermansyah Djohan advised President Joko Widodo to invite all community groups in Papua for dialogue and sittogether. Without exception the separatist movement which fought through armed physical resistance.

"We must end (the problem) by sitting together at/on the para-para, the place where Papuans do consultation. There should involve all stakeholders including separatist faction both in themountains and outside Indonesia," said Djohermansyah at the interior ministry office, Jakarta, Monday (29 / 12).

The central government, he added, actually has experience in dealing with similar conflict in Aceh. Peace in Aceh could finally be achieved through intensive dialogue. Althoughultimately involve a third party.

"If in Papua no need of having a third party. It is sufficient the dialogue we sit together, the MRP (MRP), governors, academics, the separatists and the central government," saidDjohermansyah.

According to him, all the stakeholders already know exactly the crucial issues in Papua. Namely issues related to economic, political, social, cultural, infrastructure development, andeducation. Dialogue and sat down with living burning problems in every aspect of one by one.

If President Jokowi really realize their plans to visit three times each year to Papua, according Djohermansyah, peace and acceleration of development in Papua can be achieved.
