For the North Island: Fine and frosty in most places this morning. Cloud and a few light coastal showers clearing in Gisborne later.

In Fiordland: Mainly cloudy with a few showers possible

For the remainder of the South Island: Fine and frosty in most places. Cloudy at times about coastal areas of Otago and Southland.

Chatham Islands: A mix of cloud and fine breaks with a few showers.
