In the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau and Bay of Plenty: Showery for the remainder of today. Slowly becoming fine tomorrow.
Gisborne to Wairarapa, also for Wellington: Rain easing to Showers this evening. Showers clearing from the south tomorrow.
Nelson: Fine weather.
Marlborough and Canterbury: Showers about the coast from Banks Peninsula northwards tonight and becoming fine inland. Mainly fine tomorrow.
West of the South Island: Mainly fine but cloud increasing in Fiordland tomorrow.
Otago and Southland: Fine apart from coastal cloud. Frosty inland tonight. Cloud increasing about the Southland coast tomorrow afternoon.
Chatham Islands: Periods of rain.
