Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow

In the north and west of the North Island from Northland to Manawatu, also for the central plateau: Mostly cloudy. A few light showers, more especially tomorrow.

Bay of Plenty: Fine today, brief showers tomorrow.

Gisborne, Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa: Fine in most places today. Showers about Wairarapa overnight may spread further north for a time otherwise remaining fine.

Wellington: Clouding in later today. A few showers overnight then again later tomorrow.

Nelson: Fine apart from cloudy periods then showers later tomorrow

Buller and Westland: Patchy rain spreading north today. Tomorrow cloudy with widespread rain towards evening.

Fiordland: Showers becoming confined to the south coast today elsewhere clearing briefly. Tomorrow rain for much of the day.

Marlborough and Canterbury: Brief showers working north today then a clearance overnight. Further showers spreading from the south again later tomorrow.

Otago and Southland: Showers retreating to the south coast today and inland becoming fine. A period of widespread rain tomorrow with snow to the ranges.

Chatham Island: Showers turning to rain later tomorrow.
