Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight:
For the north and west of the North Island from Northland to the Kapiti Coast, including Bay of Plenty and the central Plateau: Showers clearing from the south this morning and becoming mainly fine south of Auckland by evening. Frosty inland tonight.
Wellington: Showers clearing this morning and becoming mainly fine.
In the east from Gisborne to Wairarapa: Showers clearing inland this morning and from the coast during the afternoon.
Nelson and the South Island west coast: Mainly fine.
Marlborough and Canterbury: Fine and frosty apart from a few areas of cloud about the coast this morning.
Otago and Southland: Cloudy periods about Foveaux Strait with a few light showers otherwise fine and very frosty.
Chatham Island: Cold showery southwesterlies.
