Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.
For Northland, Auckland and Coromandel Peninsula: Cloudy with rain about Northland spreading further south this evening. Further rain tomorrow.
For remaining North Island areas: Mostly fine weather but north of the central plateau high cloud increasing. Tomorrow, cloudy with patchy rain spreading southward and becoming persistent about the Bay of Plenty later.
For South Island west coast: Mostly fine weather but a few cloudy periods at times.
In Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: Cloudy morning and night with areas of fog otherwise fine. Cloudy tomorrow with coastal drizzle patches about the east coast.
In Otago and Southland: Fine, frosty weather inland but a few cloudy periods about the coast especially night and morning.
For Chatham Islands: Brief showers with fine periods increasing tomorrow.
