Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.

For Northland, Auckland, Coromandel Peninsula and
Bay of Plenty: Rain in most places with heavy falls about
Coromandel and western Bay of Plenty. Conditions easing to
showers and fine periods from the north this afternoon.

Waikato south to the central plateau, also for Gisborne
and northern Hawkes Bay: Rain spreading slowly south to affect
most areas by afternoon.

For remaining North Island areas: Cloud thickening with
scattered rain developing after dark.

For South Island west coast: High cloud and dry.

In Nelson, Marlborough and Canterbury: A cloudy day. Coastal
drizzle to Canterbury. Scattered rain north of Banks Peninsula
tonight.

In Otago and Southland: Mainly fine and frosty. A few light
showers about the south coast.

For Chatham Islands: Brief showers clearing.
