Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tomorrow.

From Northland to Manawatu, also for Bay of Plenty and the central plateau: A mix of showers and fine periods.

Gisborne and Hawkes Bay: Showers near the western ranges, elsewhere dry.

Wairarapa: Brief rain likely.

Wellington: Outbreaks of rain today. Showery tomorrow.

Nelson and Marlborough: Rain gradually clearing from the west today. Tomorrow showery.

South Island west coast: Rain or showers for much of the time.

Canterbury and Otago: Further rain until early tomorrow then fine periods increasing.

Southland: Cloudy with patchy rain.

Chatham Islands: Further rain.
