Short Forecast from Weather Workshop valid to midnight tonight.
From Northland to Manawatu, also for Bay of Plenty and the central plateau: A mix of one or two showers and fine periods becoming more widespread this morning then turning rain later.
For Gisborne to Wairarapa: High cloud increasing but remaining dry.
For Wellington: Mainly fine at first. Cloud increasing later with a few showers turning to rain after dark.
In Nelson and Marlborough: Mostly fine at first but cloud increasing later with rain spreading from the west from evening.
For the South Island west coast: Rain or showers for much of the time.
For Canterbury and Otago: High cloud increasing with some late brief rain possible.
In Southland: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain developing later.
For Chatham Islands: Rain or showers at times.
