From Northland to Wellington, also for Bay of Plenty and the central
plateau: A mix of fine and cloudy periods with a few showers, some
of which may be heavy and thundery this afternoon from Hamilton north

For Gisborne to Wairarapa: Some morning cloudiness otherwise fine.

Nelson and Marlborough: A few showers about the western ranges of
Nelson, elsewhere long fine periods.

South Island west coast: Showery.

For Canterbury and Otago, also for Southland: Mostly fine weather.
Low cloud and fog morning and evening about coastal Canterbury.

Chatham Islands: Drizzly rain.
